Paper and fiber art.
This series of illustrations actually began with a weaving. I live on the Victorian coast of Australia and a local exhibition challenged artists to create works using the rope and nets that wash up on our beaches. I made my weaving, then noticed how much it resembled an alien landscape. I decided to to create some residents to inhabit this strange new planet. Then I added some surprise visitors. I’m currently developing a manuscript that explores what happens next.
Visual narrative of six illustrations, paper and card collage.
This series is about a girl and her lifelong search for a pear. Each of the six images explores an aspect of life. Four are pictured here: Finding, Losing, Struggling and Recovering.
Card and paper collage.
Selected illustrations from a picture book manuscript that explores the reluctant adventures of a shy little monster.
I’m developing a set of postcards that explore the dark art of editing.
They are very silly promotional postcards, really. This is the first postcard. I borrowed some characters from my ‘shy monsters’ manuscript.
If you’d like to be mailed the rest of the series as I draw it, then please provide your address via my contact page.
